Farm Tech Philippines is honored to be recognized by the Department of Education in Negros Oriental for our contributions to Calango Elementary School during TIGOM 2023: NERI's Partnership Summit.

In the current crop year of 2023, Farm Tech Philippines, in collaboration with the McHenry Family Trust, has made significant contributions to Calango Elementary School. This includes the donation of a Material Recovery Facility (MRF), the provision of a school bus for daily transportation of children to and from school, and the renovation of the Marcos Building.

After encountering Resiel Mie Elumbra, a resilient 12-year-old living in the rugged mountains of Brgy. Calango, Philippines, we conducted an interview in July 2023. Following a biopsy test, she received a diagnosis of Linear IgA Bullous Dermatitis, a subtype of the autoimmune subepidermal vesiculobullous disease known as Linear Immunoglobulin A (IgA) Dermatosis (LAD). While treatment can effectively manage the symptoms of linear IgA disease, a complete cure remains elusive. However, in the majority of cases, the condition tends to resolve over the years, especially if triggered by medication, and discontinuing the drug often leads to clearance.
